The day started off with a hike I was leading for the Maryland Trail Dames.  This was a beginner hike at Meadowside Nature Center in Montgomery County, Maryland.  I used to take my son here when he was little…so it holds some nostalgia for me.  On this early spring day the temps rose into the high 50s, with blue skies and just the right amount of breeze.  Gorgeous and I think I convinced a few more women they could indeed take to the trails!

After hiking about 4.5 miles at Meadowside I headed home to eat lunch with Little Caesar.  After lunch Little Caesar suggested we take the dogs out for a hike on the canal.  How could I resist?  It is spring and so exciting to be outside!  Another 5 miles from Brunswick down past the Family campground to the first bridge and back.  Along the way I found some spring peepers! AWESOME!!!
